Happy Spring!
plant some flowers. We spent the entire day outside - it was beautiful! I
captured a couple cute pictures of Jackson and tried out a new antique look.
It seems to be a popular processing for a lot of photographers so I thought
I'd try it out. Too bad the nice weather didn't last. We had to cover our
newly planted flowers the last two nights because of frost warnings! When
is summer coming?? Have a great week everyone!

Carson the Cutie!
I had the opportunity to take pictures of this cute little “soon to-be-1 year old” this morning. He was so cooperative and so good! Thanks Cassandra!

The Trip Back....
As we were making our trek back from the cabin to home, I snapped a few pictures of the sights we see along the way. I have a fascination for old buildings, especially barns. I always notice these grand old buildings that have been replaced by most farmers with steel sheds. They are a piece of architecture that defines the prairie landscape as much as the elevators. Someday I’d like to do a calendar featuring unique Manitoba barns.
Birthday!
Well, we managed to get away to the cabin again. I have lots of photo shoots in June so I likely won’t get up there much so we decided to get away as much as we could in May. I had a great day on Saturday celebrating my 6th anniversary of my 29th birthday with my favourite people – My Family. It was a great day. My husband surprised me with a new camera – blew me away as I certainly wasn’t expecting that. Now I have to practice, practice, practice! Have a great week everyone!

FW: Double the Fun!
evening. It was so wonderful to hold these healthy little twin girls. It
was a bit of a challenge to capture of a shot of them both settled, but we
did it. I plan to meet with their Mom again during the day to see if we can
capture some more memories.

Stunning.....thanks so much for the opportunity!

Cousins....
My oldest son Danny was helping me watch Maddox and I managed to catch this sweet picture of the two of them. It wasn’t posed, I just happened to have my camera on the deck. I love this picture....the oldest grandson with the youngest.....Maddox is so loved and it shows in this picture.
Toothless Wonder!
Well, months ago my youngest son fell off a couch onto hardwood floors and cracked his front teeth. Through several months of trials and tribulations, it was determined that we had no other choice than to pull them. My heart broke as I thought of my cute little blonde haired boy missing his front teeth at such a young age, but we had no choice in the end. They abscessed and the dentist determined that capping them would just not work. I have been leery to take his portrait with a big smile, but over the weekend he flashed this big smile for me and I couldn’t resist snapping away. He’s still cute as a button as far as I’m concerned!!!
Mr. Maddox
Look how he’s grown! I managed to snap a few cute portraits of my nephew Maddox over the May Long Weekend. He has grown so much and is such a sweet heart!

OK, this weather is insane!
I have been anxiously awaiting “greener” days around here so that I could start doing more outdoor portraits (my favourite). The grass is getting greener from all the rain, but I have heard that snow is coming to cover up the green grass. What is going on? It’s May 14th! Two years ago I had a beautiful apple tree full of pretty apply blossoms and I took some beautiful pictures of my children around them. I look out at that tree today and there are no buds on the tree! This cold weather is going to make for a very short summer for all of us. Let’s hope it warms up soon so we can get out there and take pictures in this beautiful prairie province.

Hope you had a good one!
Well, I’m home from our cabin and we had a great Mother’s Day weekend. I spent Saturday & Sunday with my Mom and Sister and it was awesome. Here are some pictures from the weekend. I hope everyone took my advice and managed to get a picture of themselves with their kids!

Being a Mom
When you are a mother, you are never really alone in your thoughts. A mother always has to think twice, once for herself and once for her child. ~Sophia Loren
God could not be everywhere and therefore he made mothers. ~Jewish Proverb
Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body. ~Elizabeth Stone
Mother's Day Weekend
I’m heading away for the weekend to spend time with my Mom, Sister & Sister-In-Law for Mother’s Day. I hope to capture some nice shots of each of them with their boys as well as some nice shots with My Mom & Me! Here’s hoping the weather cooperates! I hear there is snow in Grandview today. Ersh. I was only going to attach a couple Mother’s Day photos below, but I couldn’t decide which one I liked the best....so I attached a whole bunch. Every mother looks beautiful when she’s in the presence of her child.
I encourage each of you Mom’s out there to take the opportunity to take a picture of yourself with your children this Mother’s Day. You won’t regret it. Happy Mother’s Day!! I’ll leave you with a quote that I have sitting by my desk at home....some of you will enjoy it....
“I’m the Mom, that’ Why!” – by some brilliant mother somewhere.

Happy Mother's Day!
Happy Mother’s Day to all you Mom’s & Grandma’s out there! I think one of the most important pictures to capture while our children are young (or older) are pictures of them with us. So many times it’s the Mom behind the camera taking all the pictures. I encourage each and every one of you this Mother’s Day to take the time to get a picture taken with your child. It seems silly to ask someone to take a picture of you (and trust me – I’ve had to do this many times with my husband), but when you have that picture of you with your child in your hands, you won’t regret it. To commemorate yet another Mother’s Day, I’ve attached some of my favourites chid/mom portraits I’ve taken over the past year.
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!
