I am so excited about the work coming up this Spring & Summer. I have a very limited space left in June & July and am already getting bookings for September & October. I had the honour of taking these family portraits for the Leslie family on Sunday. Mr. & Mrs. Leslie are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this summer so they marked the occasion with some family pictures. They have a beautiful yard so we had lots of options for “location”. We picked this spot because of the pond in the back. I can’t wait to go back at the end of June and see their yard in full bloom! I had a great time with this family....twin girls who are three, and a little boy, who just turned one. The kids were awesome to work with, as were their parents. We managed to capture some “in the moment” stuff as well as some indoor portraits. Thanks Lindy & Darcy – it was great meeting you! Here are just a few of the many shots we captured.
It is hard to believe that it is May 1st? There is very little green on the trees and the grass is still a dull brown. I sure wish Mother Nature would smarten up Old Man Winter and kick him out of here for a few months. I have two photo shoots this weekend; one tomorrow for a family of five – twin girls & little boy – I’m so excited! On Sunday, I am doing a large family portrait in celebration of a 50th wedding anniversary. Both shoots are to be outdoors so I’m really hoping for some nice weather!
I was just sitting on the floor in my office/living room and I snapped this picture of Marae. I love it. Some may wonder why, maybe it’s the little hand...I’m not sure, but there is something about it that I just like.
My friend Andrea came over today and I couldn’t resist taking some pictures of her adorable daughter Marae. She is just starting to walk and its so cute to watch her go from room to room. Here are a couple pics of this little gem.
I had a great time on Saturday afternoon with Dawn & Jeff. Dawn showed me where this beautiful rainbow bridge is (only three miles from my home!). This lovely couple is tying the knot this July and I was so pleased they asked me to do their engagement photos. Thanks Dawn & Jeff! Happy Wedding Planning!!!
Well, I did what Gabrielle told me to do. I just took pictures on the manual setting and experimented with my camera. I thought these pictures of the flowers turned out really nice. None of these have any edits on Photoshop done to them, other than the border around the picture and my Memories by Me type. I love the colours! So vibrant.
Well, I headed into Winnipeg today to meet with Photographer Gabrielle Touchette and spent a great two hours learning so much about photography and a new photo editing software. I look forward to meeting with her again and learning even more! Thank Gabrielle....
Well, tomorrow is my Grandpa Max’s 87th birthday. He amazes me with his ability to NEVER age. Honestly, he seems the same age he was when I was a teenager. He has been through a lot in the past few years, but he finds the strength to keep on going....and keep on enjoying life. Happy Birthday Grandpa Max! I love you....
