The Botterill's
I spent a few hours with this family on Sunday. It was a cold and blistery day, but everyone toughed it out (even the little ones) and we managed to capture some beautiful family shots. I am posting a couple this evening and plan to work on this file more tomorrow and hope to post a few more then. Thanks to be Botterill family for giving me this opportunity - and tolerating the cold weather!
Out-takes!
Busy Busy Busy!!
Well, I've had one heck of a busy few days. I did a big family picture on Sunday which included a Mom, Dad and their three sons with all their families! The pictures turned out beautiful, although considering what a good looking family they are, it wasn't hard to capture some beautiful shots. Today was my busiest day yet - I did school pictures for Trinity Nursery School in the morning and afternoon, then tonight did a family photo shoot of a brother & sister and their families. What a lot of fun! I was laughing through the whole hour and a half! I'm going to post some of the funnier moments from tonight's photo shoot - just for you Dylan!
Now the real work begins....editing and getting the proofs ready for all these clients. Must get back to work....Signing off for now.

The Vince Family
I had the Vince's come over last Wednesday for some family pictures and some pictures of their children with their grandparents. It was a rainy, blustery day so we opted to take the pictures indoors. Karly, the little girl, was very shy and wouldn't smile much, but I think the pictures that we got of her were cute anyway. The boys, Kevin & Kirby, were all smiles. Here are some shots from that afternoon! Thanks Alison & Brent! Signing off for now...Jodi
My Beautiful Sister & Adorable Nephew
My sister Leslie and her son Reese came and spent a few days with us. It was so awesome having them around. My sister is expecting her second child in January so we thought it would be fun to take some pregnancy pictures and incorporate Reese into them. I think they turned out lovely. It is not hard to take pictures of such an adorable little boy and beautiful girl (she's still a girl to me - she's my baby sister!)
Thanks for coming Leslie & Reese....soon we'll be at our cabin and be able to see you lots more!!
Love U Both.

My Cooperative Son
So, I go to set up my backdrop that was lent to me by my relative Brian Bailey (JB Photography out of Neepawa - thanks Brian!!!) and thought I'd practice a bit on my 2-year old son. For any of you that worry about your kids behaving or cooperating when it comes time to get their portrait taken, take a look at a "photographer's child" and maybe you won't worry so much. What a turkey! I finally got a couple after much coaxing!

Kim's Family
Kim is my very best friend from high school and her parents (Wally & Gladys) were like second parents to me for many years and her brother Herb was like my own little brother. This was an emotional shoot for me, but it was honestly like "going home" when I drove into their driveway. It's so ironic that Kim and I both got married and had three little boys - it was so nice to see Bradyn, Brody & Brendan. They are adorable. I got a kick out of each of them. Thanks Kim for asking me to do this.....it was an honour and a privilege.

The Dufresne Family
What a great day on Saturday! The Dufresne family came over for some fun, family shots and we sure got some good ones. They also brought their two dogs, Eddie & Hamish and having the dogs in the pictures went better than I anticipated. There were a few moments where I was holding a piece of slice cheese over my head while taking pictures with my Nikon, but it got the dogs attention and made the Dufresne's laugh so all went well! Thanks to Jenny, Rennie and boys - it was a pleasure to spend the afternoon with you.
