Prairie Fun In the Winter

I was watching my boys and my nephew playing scrimage on the pond for over two hours again and I couldn't help but think how we so often are quick to complain about our winters. I have to say - I'm not a fan of the cold, but I love our Prairie Winters. Our kids are given the opportunity to enjoy all kinds of sports....hockey & skiing in the winter for my kids and baseball, swimming & soccer in the summer. Enjoy the rest of the holiday season everyone...because before we know it...we'll be watching soccer & baseball instead of hockey! :)

Skiing Fun

The boys spent Christmas Eve Day skiing and enjoying the beautiful weather
up here. It was a great way to spend the day and the boys really are
enjoying the ski hill this year. Jack and I went tubing instead (no pics of
that!)

My Nephew Kael

I had my nephews over to our cabin for a couple days before Christmas. Here
is an adorable picture of my little man Kael. He and my son Jack were born
on the exact same day so we call them "Twin Cousins". Now this is a smile
that could brighten up anyone's day.

Winter Fun

We are up at the cabin and are having a great Christmas Break. There is so
much to do here....skating, skiing, tubing and most importantly....spending
time with family. The boys had so much fun playing hockey with their cousin
Dawson. They spent two hours on the pond. Great fun!

Sights of the Season!

I woke up at my cabin on Monday morning to the beautiful sight of Hoarfrost! The boys and I drove to my Mom & Dad's and it took a while longer this time as I had to stop every five minutes and take pictures of the sights. The kids were a little frustrated with me stopping and starting.....but I'm glad I did!

Closed for the Season

Well, 2009 is coming to a close and the deadline for ordering prints has come and gone. I will have one more order arriving on Wednesday which I will have to distribute to clients and then I wil be finished for the season (aka -closed for the holidays). I will be 'open for business' again on January 4th, 2010. Until that time I will not be taking any orders nor booking appointments.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank my clients for allowing me to capture some memories for them. My goal as an amateur photographer is to capture a photo or a moment that they will treasure forever. I hope I have managed to capture at least one "moment" for each of you on film that you will treasure. I am honoured to have met all of you and I hope you know how thankful I am that you trusted me with capturing special memories for you.

So, to all of you - I wish you JOY, PEACE & LOVE this holiday season. May 2010 be filled with love & laughter.....and may you capture as much of it on film as possible. Remember..."a good snapshot stops a moment from running away".....

Cheers!

Black & Whites....

Even though colour is beautiful in certain pictures, my favourite remains black & white. I love the timeless quality you can capture with a black & white photography.

More Jack!

What am I going to do when he goes to school and is not home for me to take pictures of obsessively? I guess I'll have to rent some other kids! LOL!

Tis The Season.....for snow pics!

My kids - love the pictures - and them!

Danny & Dylan

I've been taking so many pictures of other people's kids (and a few too many of my little guy Jack) so I thought I better catch up with Danny & Dylan (much to their delight - insert sarcasm here). It was a pretty, bright & sunny day today, but the pictures turned out great. Thanks Danny & Dylan for letting me stalk you....yet again!

I bought Jack this cute hat and coat and couldn't resist taking him outside for some pics. He looks so cute (I may be biased though) LOL!

Baby's First Christmas

It's Carlee's first Christmas and I think these picture turned out so cute!

Little Miss. Christmas

I had so much fun taking Miss. Carlee's Christmas Portraits. She was like a little doll, letting her Mom & I pose her and add props around here. So sweet! These photos ought to get all of you in the Christmas Spirit!

The Girls

I took pictures of these two sister's families on Sunday. Such pretty gals!

Kids!

I managed to get individual pictures of these cute cousins on Sunday!

FAMILY

I met up with this family on Sunday afternoon. The weather has been great lately - who'd of thought we'd be able to have outdoor family pictures on November 29th only wearing sweaters & vests!

It's Starting to Look a lot like Christmas!

Christmas is coming....seriously, it is!

Although there is not a stitch of snow on the ground, we all need to face reality and realize CHRISTMAS is just around the corner! Tomorrow is December 1st, and I am so far behind in Christmas Prep that I'm really starting to panic. I'm doing my best to get the remaining packages out to clients so they have an opportunity to have their pictures for Christmas.

Here's hoping most of you are more prepared than me for the holiday season!

Just to get you "in the mood", here is a cute picture I took of my son Jackson today! Happy Holidays!!

Mike, Rhonda & Boys

I had a great evening last night taking pictures of this family. I think I drove the boys (and Dad) nuts with the amount of pics I took, but they were great. Thanks Rhonda, Mike & Boys!
