Day 287

"Dylan"

I woke up this morning and looked outside and thought "what a perfect day for our family picture". The hoar frost was on the trees, it was bright and warm and looked like a winter wonderland in our yard. Yes, all was perfect......except I was missing two out of five of my family! DARN. Danny and Kris ...had to head off to Morden for the final day of Danny's tournament. I was so disappointed....I honestly don't think a family picture is going to happen this year. There is just no time!!! Here I am editing other people's Christmas Cards with their family pictures on them....and I don't have one! I'm even finding it hard to find a moment where I have all three boys together for a picture....someone always seems to be missing.

Dylan was outside enjoying his new skidoo and playing around so I took my camera out and took some fun pictures of him. At the end he says "and Mom, I won't even charge you a modelling fee for these" oh Dylan!!

Day 287...my handsome boy Dylan....and again, sized down! This is getting frustrating!

Day 285

"My Santa Boy"

Busy day yesterday....Jack had a birthday party to attend, Danny and I headed to Morden for hockey and then Kris and I had a Christmas Party in the City to attend. Tis' the Season for chaos!! Oh well, it's all fun and part of this festive time of year.

I was tidying up my studio in the morning from my session with Coven and Jack was "helping" me! He was sitting in my red chair pretending to be Santa so I snapped this quick picture and loved how it turned out. Perfect! Picture of the day accomplished....

Day 285....My "Santa Boy"! Again, I have no idea why this picture is so small, I've tried adjusting the settings, but it stays at this size? I wish I was more computer-savvy!

Day 283

"Snow Family"

I posted a sneak peek album of Danny, Brittany & Coven's family pictures from this afternoon. They were such good sports to venture outside in the blustery, snowy weather with their little guy. I figured since we were trying to capture "Coven's First Christmas" we had to take advantage of the snow!... He did so well and we worked really fast so he didn't get cold!

Here is a little collage of this good-looking family! Thanks Brittany & Danny ~ good to see Mr. Coven again ~ wow has he grown! Enjoy your very first Christmas with your beautiful little boy!

Day 283....

Brittany, Danny & Baby Coven

I had the pleasure of photographing Brittany, Danny and their eight month old son Coven today. I had met this awesome family in the Spring when we did Coven's newborn pictures. Wow, he's a lot busier now than he was back then. He is as adorable as ever though, and I had to work a little harder this time to keep up t...o him. We captured some indoor stuff and then we ventured out into the snow for some fun outdoor pictures of the family. Thanks for coming out to my place again! It was great to see you - have a wonderful first Christmas Coven! I'm pretty sure you're going to get spoiled! :)

The Dyer Family

I travelled into Winnipeg yesterday to Bev & Chris's home. I was so excited to meet their little boys, Isaac & Oliver. I had the pleasure of doing a maternity session with Bev in the summer so when she contacted me to take pictures of her newborn babies, I was so excited. Bev & Chris have a beautiful home and there w...ere so many great spots to take pictures of their new addtions. Thank you guys for inviting me into your home! Enjoy the memories.....here is a sneak peek!

Day 286

~The Dyer Boys~

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Mr. Isaac (on the left) and Mr. Oliver (on the right) today in Winnipeg. Their parents, Bev & Chris welcomed me into their beautiful home to capture some images of these beautiful one-month old baby boys. They were so good and so sweet to photograph. ... There are so many to choose from and I am having a heck of a time editing as I keep jumping ahead to see what we were able to capture!

Bev & Chris, you two are amazing parents and you are so blessed to have such amazing little boys. Thank you so much for asking me to capture these memories for you. So many more to share with you!!

Day 286 ~ Introducing Isaac & Oliver! Everybody say "AWE"!!!

Day 284

"It's a GIRL - Finally"

Well, after a 28 years a baby GIRL was finally born into our family. If you follow my work you will know how very close I am to each and every one of my family members. You will also likely know that we are a clan of BOYS! I have three, my older brother has two and my younger sister has... two! We love them all to pieces, but we have been waiting to spoil someone with pink, frilly stuff! Well, today....the draught ended! My younger brother and his beautiful wife Jolene had a baby girl! A girl!! My heart is so happy with this news. Boy or girl, this child would have been loved, but we are all very excited to finally be able to buy something PINK!

Mom and Baby are doing great and my brother is a very proud Dad. They live in Ottawa so unless I hop on a plane in the next week (which is soooooooo tempting), pictures of this little one will have to wait. Needless to say, I will be packing up my camera and all my baby goodies to take home for Christmas. Watch out little one....here comes Aunty Jodi with her camera!

Congratulations Brett & Jolene! And welcome to the world Little One. We haven't even met, but I love you so much already!

Day 284...something PINK! Thank Heaven for Little Girls.....

Day 282

"This One's for You Buf!"

So, I had my friend's daughter doing a cartwheel as my profile picture yesterday and my sister-in-law Buffy thought it was me. To prove to her that I still "had it"....I ventured out this afternoon with my son Danny (he's home with an eye infection) and I attempted a cartwheel (or two) for my picture of the day! Let me just say, it's not that easy anymore....for one thing, I don't weigh 90 lbs like I used to when I could do these on a regular basis and another thing....it's a whole different story in Uggs, ski pants and mitts! Danny got a good laugh out of it, and I think even the cat was laughing!!

Anyhow, I still got it so here it is....Day 282....me attempting not to break my neck while proving to myself I am not that old!! Proud of me Buf?!?

~My Sister's Family~

I took my sister's pictures on Thanksgiving weekend and edited a few but not all. Poor girl ~ she has patiently waited for these while I stumbled through my busy season. I love taking pictures of her family ~ each and every one of them are gorgeous. Here are just a few!

Day 281

"Gotta Love Mondays"

Have I mentioned lately that I love Mondays? I do. My weekends have become my work days or my 'hockey mom' days and Monday is one day of the week where I don't have anything on, and usually I spend the entire day catching up from a busy weekend. I am not embarrassed to say that Jack nor I go out of our pj's all day! I got a lot accomplished though....MBM work (lots of it!), put up my Christmas tree, housework (lots of it), laundry (lots of it) and even did some home-made cooking (I've been craving any kind of home made soup lately).

Day 281, one of my favourite ornaments from one of my favourite people ~ my sister Leslie....and the quote on this is SO true!

Day 279

"Hockey Hockey Hockey"

Yeesh, the alarm went off at 6:15 a.m. yesterday and I wanted nothing more than to shut it off and go back to sleep! However, that was not going to happen as it was the much anticipated, much planned for Oakville Novice Tourney! So, off Dylan and I went to the rink to get ready for our bu...sy day. I walked into the canteen at 7:00 a.m. and didn't really walk out til 7:30 p.m. that night! All in the all, the tournament was a success. Our Oakville Novice parents worked their butts off, our team won two out of three games, but most importantly the kids had FUN!

I took a few minutes to actually watch a game yesterday and captured some fun, hockey images. One of the ones I liked the best was this one of Dylan (#14 ~ just like my DAD) and some of his teammates watching the game. I love how they just barely can see over the boards!

Day 279....

Day 278

"Angel of Christmas Spirit"

Friday was a crazy day....MBM work, organizing a hockey tournament, Adam Lee Financial Christmas Party....so by the end of the day (like 11:00 p.m.) I realized I had not taken my picture of the day. With all the beautiful snow falls we've been having I thought my "Angel of Christmas S...pirit" would make a nice picture.

Sorry folks, been busy....my pictures of the day are pretty last-minute lately!
