I met up with this family on Sunday afternoon. The weather has been great lately - who'd of thought we'd be able to have outdoor family pictures on November 29th only wearing sweaters & vests!

It's Starting to Look a lot like Christmas!

Christmas is coming....seriously, it is!

Although there is not a stitch of snow on the ground, we all need to face reality and realize CHRISTMAS is just around the corner! Tomorrow is December 1st, and I am so far behind in Christmas Prep that I'm really starting to panic. I'm doing my best to get the remaining packages out to clients so they have an opportunity to have their pictures for Christmas.

Here's hoping most of you are more prepared than me for the holiday season!

I just had a call inquiring about gift certificates for Christmas and it reminded me that I haven't advertised the fact that I do gift certificates. So.....if any of you are interested in purchasing a gift certificate for a family or couples session, please let me know. I'd be happy to do up a gift certificate for anyone who is interested. As well, please note that my gift certificates have no expiry dates!

Busy Season Coming to a Close

Well, it is almost December and I have four remaining photo shoots booked between now and next Tuesday. Once those are done I will not be taking anymore bookings for the 2009 year. I want to thank all of you who have trusted me with capturing some memories on film. It has been a pleasure getting to know people I have never met as well as taking pictures for returning clients and family & friends. Please note the deadlines below if you are wanting to order any pictures from this past year as Christmas gifts. Thank you again and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Mom & Daughters

I met up with Moira and her daughters, Ashley & Melora on Sunday afternoon. It was a wonderful day - honestly felt like September, not the end of November! These girls were all so close and I really wanted to capture that on film. Thanks girls for a wonderful afternoon - you all should be models!

What a great bunch of people. This was a perfect spot for a family shot! Never dreamed I'd be doing such casual beach shots on November 21st!

The Beautiful Bride

I know my policy thus far has been "no weddings", but I couldn't resist this request as the bride was so casual and relaxed about her day. So casual, that she was married in jeans (albeit...looking gorgeous). We did do some wedding dress pictures though - every girl needs to wear a wedding dress once! Here are a couple of the images we captured.

Kyle & Jessica

I had the most unique photo shoot today. Kyle and Jessica were getting married, but first Jessica wanted some family pictures done with her siblings and her parents. After that, she changed into a beautiful wedding dress and we did a quick "dress" shoot....and then we ended the session with her and Kyle in the outfits they were wearing to exchange wedding vows - jeans! I had a lot of fun meeting these great people....I'm still amazed at the amount of images we captured in less than two hours. Congratulations Jessica & Kyle - I hope your day was everything you wanted it to be.

Holiday Cards!

I have been putting off designing Holiday Cards and started doing some research for myself. I came across this great website called www.littlestargreetings.com and I love it. I love her designs, the price and I love that it's a Canadian company based out of Alberta. Because I have changed my format and give the images away on CD I am advising all of my clients to go through Little Star Greetings. I could attempt to design cards for clients, but it is time-consuming (*and time is something I am lacking this year due to all the duties a Mom of three boys has) so I'd rather just pass on a great place to have your cards made. Her prices are extremely reasonable and I have seen her work and it's marvelous. So, for all of you clients (and even non-clients), if you're looking for trendy holiday cards this year.....please check out Melanie's designs at Little Star Greetings. I know you won't regret it!
