Welcome Fall

Last Flower....

This is the last remaining flower in my yard. Welcome Fall!

Day 198

"Fall is Here"

I went for a walk tonight. The sun actually shone, which was great to see. The air feels cool still, but it was a beautiful evening here in Oakville. There sure is a lot of water in the fields though. Certainly hasn't been an ideal year for the farmer around here or back at "home".

I didn't take a picture today as I travelled back to Oakville (thanks Dad and Leslie for helping me get back)! I grabbed my camera and headed up the road for a walk and noticed a nice wheat field by my place. I wandered in and didn't see the water in the ditch so needless to say I got wet right up to my knees! Ersh. Oh well, I captured some beautiful shots of this wheat field.

Farewell Summer, welcome Fall!

Here is Day 198......

Day 197

"Boys"

It was another rainy, cool day on Monday and I was at my brother's place in the afternoon. There were a couple miniature donkeys across the road from their place so we wandered over with the boys to take a look. It was a great old yardsite - perfect place for pictures. The boys walked the donkeys around... and I took lots of pictures, but my favourite from the day was this one of Kael and Jack crawling on this old tractor and hammin' it up! Too cute.

Here is Day 197....

Day 196

"Buffy's Cosmos"

I spent the day at my brother's place on Sunday. I was supposed to have a family session, but it was a miserable, rainy day. My sister-in-law has the most beautiful yard and I couldn't resist taking a picture of her cosmos. I think they are my favourite flower.

Here is Day 196. Sorry it's late.

Kim, Jeff and Boys ~Family~

I headed out to Kim and Jeff's place on Wednesday evening. It was a beautiful evening to tour around their beautiful yard-site. They have a perfect spot for pictures. We took advantage of Kim's horses and Jeff's cattle and incorporated them into their family photos. Here is a sneak peak of the many images we captur...ed this evening. Thank you so much Kim & Jeff for your hospitality and the opportunity to capture some memores for you.

Day 194

"Summer Fun"

So, we headed to my Mom and Dad's today for a family supper and bonfire. We have been very fortunate to have several family get-togethers this summer at my Mom's place. As many of you know, my parents have seven grandsons and when they get together it is pure fun! The three older boys head off and "do their own thing" for hours and the three littler ones hot tub and "explore Grandpa's yard for treasures". Little Maddox goes back and forth between both groups! Regardless, it's all fun and it's so great we've had so many opportunities to get the kids all together this summer. They truly are best friends.

Kael, Jack and Reese went between the hot tub and exploring all day. I snapped this picture of the these three little dudes in my Dad's tractor tire. I remember taking this exact same picture of Danny, Dawson and Dylan four years ago at harvest - wow how time flies! I still remember that day and how Kael and Jackson were sitting in car seats in the middle of the field while the three older boys ran around the fields. So glad I have that picture of those three in that tire as there are a lot of memories that are tied to that picture.

Anyhow, Day 194 is Jack, Kael and Reese making memories at Grandma and Grandpa's place. Thanks again Mom and Dad for yet another great family get-together!

Day 193

"Holidays"

It felt like summer again today. The weather was nice again so the boys, their Dad and I headed off to the pool to meet my sister and my nephews there. We spent the entire afternoon at the pool. I captured some great shots of the kids all enjoying the pool, especially Little Maddox!

Kris is on holidays this week and we are loving having him around the cabin with us. I'm not sure I would call a laptop, a blackberry, two computer monitors spread across the table at the cabin "holidays", but at least he's here with us! He somehow manages to "work" and "play" when he's here.

We had a great barbecue supper on the deck and sat outside until it got dark. I was going to use my pool pictures as my Picture of the Day, but decided to go with this quick snapshot of Kris and Jackson seeing as Kris doesn't make many of my Project 365 photos.

Here they are, Jackson enjoying some holiday time with his Dad!

Day 192

"Lucky"

Today was one of those days where I realize how lucky I am to have found a "job" that I love. To be honest, calling my "job" a "job" is quite odd because it rarely ever feels like "work". Sure, the editing, packaging, etc. takes a ton of time, but I am fortunate enough to be able to do all this in the comfort of my own home, with my kids playing around me.

Today I ventured out to Grandview again to do two sessions. The first one was with two adorable little girls named Teagan and Tori. They were so cute and so fun to photograph. Teagan was not so sure of me off the start so we eased into this session carefully. She's two, need I say more? LOL! In the end we captured some beautiful shots of both girls. Sneak Peaks are shown below on my blog!

This evening I toured out to rural Grandview and met up with Jeff, Kim and their two boys Jayce and Kade (so sorry if I spelled the boys' names incorrectly!). They have a beautiful home and yardsite with plenty of cattle and horses. We basically toured down by the creek, out in the pasture and in and around their home. There were endless locations to shoot at and we captured some great images of their life in the country. It was so great to meet you guys and your boys are adorable!

Day 191 is Kim and Jeff's family by their beautifully landscaped yard. I am only posting Tori and Teagan's pictures on my blog, therefore I only used an image from my second photo shoot for my Project 365 as it also appears in Facebook!

Teagan and Tori

I met up with Hollie today to take pictures of her beautiful girls, Tori and Teagan. At first I was a bit worried because Teagan's first word to me was "no"! But after she warmed up to me a bit and her Mom did the "crazy cracker" dance...out came the smiles! This was a fun shoot by the Museum in Grandview! It was so nice to see Teagan again and meet her adorable little sister Tori.

Thanks Hollie! Here's a sneak peak from today's session.

Day 191

"Jackson"

Another miserable day today! Wow, hopefully it warms up this week as it is far too soon to feel like Fall if you ask me. Nothing much to report other than I worked away on client files and editing pictures. I am still up at the cabin and enjoying every last minute that summer has to offer. I am really not looking forward to "back to school" this year. I wish I could somehow figure out a way to just stay here and never go back, but I realize that can't happen. I've just had such a great time up here with my boys enjoying the lazy days of summer. I really don't want it to end......

Jack was outside for a bit playing away so I grabbed my camera and fired off a few shots of him. He has gotten into making goofy faces or some kung foo moves every time I point my camera at him. It's quite hilarious actually.

Anyhow, Day 191 is Mr. Jack and all his funny faces!

Beach Boys!

My sister and I headed down to the beach at Clear Lake to take some fun pictures of her little boys! Maddox and Reese are absolutely ADORABLE! I love them to pieces and had so much fun just watching them play in the water!

Thanks Leslie, Maddox and Reese!

The Chychota Family

I drove out to Dauphin on Sunday evening to meet up with Kim, Glenn and the rest of their family. We toured their backyard and backlane and captured some great shots. The boys' grandparents were both there so we incorporated shots of them into the session as well.

Thanks so much Chychota Family - it was great to meet all of you!
