Spring Break!

Well, I did it....I have been watching my two older sons zooming around the ski hills so I figured I better give it a try. I donned my Mom's downhill skis (hey, if she can do it - so can I!) and away I went. Dylan (my six year old) showed me the ropes, and soon I was 'almost' keeping up with him. It was scary, as I hadn't skied since our high school days, but I did it. At times I know I looked like a complete idiot, but other times I think I looked like I kind of know what I was doing. Of course, there are no pictures of this (thankfully) but here are a few pics from my day spent at our cabin with my sister's family and my parents.

Change of layout...

Well, I played around a bit with blogger and decided to brighten up my blog a bit. I don't know if I like it or not? Hmmmm....I'll have to think about it.

Spring Break

Well, it's been a short week for my two older boys...school was closed due to weather on Tuesday & Wednesday. I'll be heading to our cabin for Spring Break with the boys and really hope to capture some great shots of my nephews and my boys while I'm "home". Stay tuned for some fun spring break photography!! Can't wait.....

Amazed

I have been following other photographer's work (Trevor Brucki & Gabrielle Touchette to name a few) and I'm amazed and in awe of their beautiful work. I have so much to learn and am so excited about the potential to improve my work. They have never met me, nor have I met them, but they inspire me to continue on with my passion of photography.

To Twitter or Not To Twitter

So, with all the buzz of Twitter I tried to install it onto my Blog. As you can see...I'm having difficulty with that as it appears nowhere on my blog. That got me to thinking - do I really need it? With the ever-increasing technlogy out there it is hard to keep up to it. I have a Facebook page, for myself personally, as well as for Memories by Me. At any given time, people can look on there and pretty much figure out what I am doing for the day or where I am. Do I really need Twitter updating my status every time I go near my computer. It's all very addicting, but also a great way to waste time. So for now, I'm opting not to use Twitter....but with all the buzz in the media about it and my obsession with pop culture....you'll likely see it someday on here....that is, if I can figure it out!

Snow Day!

Well, it's the end of March but Mother Nature wants to give us one more run for our money. No school today because of the weather so I took advantage of the boys being outside and snapped a few pictures of them.

Future Olympian

Well, my middle son, the daredevil recently learned how to downhill ski. He is convinced he will competing in the Olympics in a few years. I always tell them to Dream Big - guess he's listening!

Winter Fun!

The weather is warming up outside, but there is still time to capture some great outdoor winter shots. Actually, now is the time as you don't need to bulk up in all the clothes and a simple sweater, toque and colourful scarf are the perfect backdrops for a cool winter look.

I managed to capture some fun shots of my boys learning to ski with their Dad & my parents. I used my camera as an excuse not to try!! LOL. Enjoy these last few weeks of winter...soon it will be Spring....
