Alison and Justin ~Engaged~

I headed over to High Bluff to meet up with Justin and Alison this afternoon. What a fun, easy-going and nice couple they were. We wandered around Alison's parent's yard and captured some beautiful shots. It was great to meet you two - I wish you all the best with your wedding planning ~ enjoy your Mexican Wedding! ...Here are just a few of the many images we captured today!

Miss. Emma

Little Miss. Emma came over this morning for some cute one-year portraits! She is so cute and I love photographing her. About twenty minutes into the session she had enough so I brought out the popcorn twists and all was well in the world again! Last time I photographed her was in the Spring....she's a lot busier no...w, but still as adorable as ever! Thanks for bringing her back Erin. Here are a few sneak pees from her session!

PS - hat by Prairie Blossom Boutique and tutu and hair clip by Playful Peanut! Search them on Facebook to see their fabulous items!

The Walker Boys

I loved these little guys! Maybe it was because they reminded me so much of my own boys when they were this age, or maybe it is because they are just simply adorable! I met the Walker Family for pictures last night and these little guys did sooooo good! I had to work fast because it was a chilly evening, but we manag...ed to capture a lot of beautiful images before the kids reached their limit. Little Carter (the youngest one) had an adorable little red nose by the end, but he did so good considering his age and the weather!

Thanks Walker Family! I hope to post more Family ones once Bridgette sees them! Great to meet all of you - and thanks Walker Boys!!!

The Blog!

I have tried for two days to upload pictures to my blog and for some strange reason, it is not letting me. I am not very technically savvy so this may take a while to figure out. I a hoping it is a glitch with Blogger and they will have it fixed shortly as I have some great photos from three great sessions that I would love to showcase on here.  Here's hoping a fix is in the works very soon!

Day 257

"The Walker Boys"

I met up with Bridgette, Jason and their three adorable boys later this afternoon for a family session. I was a little concerned that the weather might be too cold, but we had already rescheduled once because of wind, I didn't want to reschedule again in case the snow comes and stays! These thr...ee boys reminded me so much of mine, not just in looks, but in their personalities too. They were excellent, especially considering that we were all frozen after half an hour. I worked very quickly and we captured a pile of beautiful images. Thanks Carson, Cohen & Carter - you guys were super good! It was great to meet you Bridgette and Jason - your boys are adorable!

I did get some great family images, but this one with the frame was so cute that I had to use it as Day 257!

Day 256

"Super Mario"

Big day around here today. First thing Jackson said when he woke up was "today is my Halloween party!!!". He has wanted to be Super Mario ever since the Christmas Catalogue came out. I caved and bought it for him even though I have upwards of 40 costumes in my basement. Two days ago he announced he didn't want to be Super Mario anymore, he wanted to be a "dirtbiker". Ummmmmm, no. I didn't spend money on a costume that will never be worn my dear! He was adamant about being a dirtbiker for the past two days but when I told him I'd draw a mustache on him for Mario, he quickly changed his mind! I do have a feeling he will be a dirt biker on Sunday when we trick-or-treat, but for today, he is Mario.

I took some pics in my little studio of him, but the ones I loved most were his reaction to his mustache in the mirror. Here is a collage of my little Mario...all ready for his Nursery School Party this afternoon.

Day 255

"A good day to bake....."

Well, it was election day around Manitoba today. Not ideal weather for voter turnout, but I did my civic duty and went and voted. I drove home and said to Jack, "let's bake - it's too miserable to go anywhere else today!" We baked some cupcakes and cookies, made some treat bags for Ha...lloween and just stayed warm and cozy around the house. The wind blew two of my big trees in my yard over. Luckily the wind was blowing so that the trees fell away from my home and not on top of them!

It was a productive day today, sometimes there is a positive to bad weather. I finished up another client order, cleaned my house, baked with Jack and all in all it was a "good" day, despite the "bad" weather.

Day 255 is nothing "spooctacular", just our "ghost" cupcakes Jack and I baked today. Mmmmm, going to have another one!

Day 254

"Last Days of Fall?"

It was another rainy day in Oakville today. I took Jack to Nursery School and when I got home I noticed how orange everything looked in the rain, as opposed to the dull-brown I have been noticing the last few weeks. I grabbed my camera and wandered around my yard and took some shots of thin...gs I thought looked pretty. I have seen on friend's facebook pages that there is a possiblity of snow so I'm glad I took a few pictures of what could be the last few days of Fall before we settle in for a Manitoba Winter.

Day 254.....

Day 253

"Most Pathetic Picture Ever"

So, I'm working late again tonight trying to get caught up on some editing. I look down at the clock on my computer and it says 11:52 p.m.....and I realize I completely forgot about my Picture of the Day! I have come too far with this project to not do this. I grab my camera, glance around the room and spot my reflection in my window! Voila - it's all I have!! I apologize...it's a pathetic picture - most pathetic of all 253 of them. In reality, this is totally me....hair up in a bun, cluttered desk, Tommy sweats, t-shirt and working at night while my babes are asleep.

Regardless of how truly bad this picture is, it will have to do....it is now 11:58 p.m. and I don't have much other choice!

Day 253...most pathetic picture - ever, fingerprints on the window and all....

2010 Bookings!

I realized I posted a note about no longer taking on anymore sessions a couple weeks ago, but the inquiries keep coming in. While I am grateful for those who want to book with me, unfortunately I just cannot accommodate anymore sessions for this year. I had a lady call me today and when I told her that I could no longer fit anymore people in, she hung up on me! While I wish I could morph myself into ten more "Jodi's", I just cannot and therefore have to draw the line somewhere.

Memories by Me Photography is a business I started because I loved photography, it allows me to be home with my children and do something I am passionate about. I made a mistake this Fall and took on way too many sessions. I became overwhelmed with appointments and editing and my family unfortunately had to take a back seat so that I could essentially "keep up". I am taking a couple months off once I get through this busy season to re-adjust how I operate MBM Photography and to spend some quality time with my family.

2011 is gearing up to be another fun and exciting year for MBM Photography. I have reached my limit for wedding bookings and am only taking on very limited family and children's sessions. I am truly grateful to those of you who have put your trust in me to capture some family memories for you.

The Wood Family

I had the pleasure of photographing the Wood Family in Oakville in honour of Ray's 80th birthday. We met at the Wood Farm and set up a spot leading into the pasture. It was a beautiful day and these people were all so nice and accommodating. This farm has been in the Wood Family for generations so it was great that ...the weather cooperated so we could capture these images on the farm. Here is a few of the many, many images we captured! Thank you Wood Family!

Robin & The Gang!

I met up with Robin and her four kids (and Aaron's girlfriend) for some fun, family photos! And I say "fun" because Robin' boys were always trying to make goofy faces when I wasn't looking. Luckily, Aaron's girlfriend was there to keep them in line! LOL! Here are just a few of the many images we captured on Sunday a...fternoon. Thanks Robin - great to see you and your kids yesterday!

The Prince Family

I had met Angie and Derek about a month ago for their family pictures, and I met them again on Saturday in Winnipeg with all of Angie's family! We met at Assiniboine Park in Winnipeg and captured some memorable family shots. There were quite a few little ones, but we still managed to get a picture of each and some gr...eat group shots. Thanks Angie for this opportunity - it was great to see you again, meet your brothers and your parents! Here is just a sneak peek of a few of the many.....
