Summer.....Farewell

Well, tomorrow is the last day of August. Where did those two months go? I
personally have had the best summer of my life. I've enjoyed spending
quality time with my kids, husband and my family. It has been great to be
up at our cabin close to the people I care about, just enjoying all that
summer has to offer. I've heard many people grumbling about the weather,
and I agree, it wasn't stellar - but it was still time off for me. Time off
from school schedules, my kid's sporting events and even photography work.
It was time off for my boys as well- they were able to just PLAY every day
and I love that about summer. I personally chose not to enrol them in
anything in July & August - I wanted them to just be kids with no worries of
having to be somewhere. We have a few days left of this carefree time in my
children's lives and then it will be back to the grind. It will be early
mornings, homework, hockey practices, swimming lessons and so on and so on.
I've got several photo shoots booked for the September Long Weekend, but
until then....it's going to be movie nights with my boys, sleeping in until
we feel like rising & shining and just enjoying our few remaining days of
"time off". I wish all of you a great last week of summer. I hope you've
stopped to smell the 'sunflowers' just as I have!

The Andres Family

So good looking - I should have had to pay modelling fees!

Maddox & Reese

Such sweet, sweet boys.

My Sister & Reese

My sister and I decided it would be fun to take her family pictures on the
beach. Reese (her two-year old) didn`t think it would be such a good idea
though. He just was not into getting his picture taken, and I don`t blame
him. My boys had to come along as my husband is still in Oakville so he
want to play with his cousins instead of sit and pose for pictures. Can`t
really blame him. All in all, through many pictures, we did manage to
capture some beautiful shots. The best ones are the ones where Reese didn`t
know I was even taking his picture! He`s just too adorable for words! Next
time Aunty Jodi is bringing a really good bribe for you Reese!

Karen, Rob & Gang

I had so much fun with this family on Wednesday night. We found this great
old yardsite in Grandview that was across from a great wheat field so we did
a bunch of different poses. Thanks Karen & Rob - it was a pleasure taking
your family picture!

Great Kids!

Eric, Evan & Easton were awesome kids to work with. I took lots of pictures
that night and they just kept smilin' and were so polite. It was great
meeting you guys!

More Great Kids!

Prairie Landscapes

I was driving home from Yorkton with my kids yesterday and I came across
these two elevators. I had to stop the van and take a few pictures. These
truly represent the Prairies.

Golf Day!

The sun shone today and there were blue skies - yippee!! We needed to
figure out something to do with the kids so we took a drive out to Prairie
Lake Lodge Golf Course. We found paradise. It's a great little Par-3 golf
course - perfect for showing the boys how to golf. The views are amazing
and the food is great. I highly recommend if you're in the area to check
out this great place. I know our family plans to frequent it as much as
possible. Here are just a few pics of our fun golf day! PS - It was hot so
we threw golf etiquette to the wind and let the boys take their shirts off
to golf!
