Well, I’m home from our cabin and we had a great Mother’s Day weekend. I spent Saturday & Sunday with my Mom and Sister and it was awesome.  Here are some pictures from the weekend.  I hope everyone took my advice and managed to get a picture of themselves with their kids!

Being a Mom

Mother's Day Weekend

I’m heading away for the weekend to spend time with my Mom, Sister & Sister-In-Law for Mother’s Day. I hope to capture some nice shots of each of them with their boys as well as some nice shots with My Mom & Me! Here’s hoping the weather cooperates! I hear there is snow in Grandview today. Ersh. I was only going to attach a couple Mother’s Day photos below, but I couldn’t decide which one I liked the best....so I attached a whole bunch. Every mother looks beautiful when she’s in the presence of her child.

I encourage each of you Mom’s out there to take the opportunity to take a picture of yourself with your children this Mother’s Day. You won’t regret it. Happy Mother’s Day!! I’ll leave you with a quote that I have sitting by my desk at home....some of you will enjoy it....

Happy Mother’s Day to all you Mom’s & Grandma’s out there!  I think one of the most important pictures to capture while our children are young (or older) are pictures of them with us.  So many times it’s the Mom behind the camera taking all the pictures. I encourage each and every one of you this Mother’s Day to take the time to get a picture taken with your child.  It seems silly to ask someone to take a picture of you (and trust me – I’ve had to do this many times with my husband), but when you have that picture of you with your child in your hands, you won’t regret it.  To commemorate yet another Mother’s Day, I’ve attached some of my favourites chid/mom portraits I’ve taken over the past year.

Bookings!

I am so excited about the work coming up this Spring & Summer. Celebrating 50 Years!

I had the honour of taking these family portraits for the Leslie family on Sunday. Mr. & Mrs. Leslie are celebrating their 50^th wedding anniversary this summer so they marked the occasion with some family pictures.  They have a beautiful yard so we had lots of options for “location”.  We picked this spot because of the pond in the back.  I can’t wait to go back at the end of June and see their yard in full bloom!  Thanks Leslie Family!

Family of Five!

I had a great time with this family....twin girls who are three, and a little boy, who just turned one.  The kids were awesome to work with, as were their parents.  We managed to capture some “in the moment” stuff as well as some indoor portraits.  Thanks Lindy & Darcy – it was great meeting you! Where is Spring?

It is hard to believe that it is May 1^st?  There is very little green on the trees and the grass is still a dull brown.  I sure wish Mother Nature would smarten up Old Man Winter and kick him out of here for a few months.  I have two photo shoots this weekend; one tomorrow for a family of five – twin girls & little boy – I’m so excited!  On Sunday, I am doing a large family portrait in celebration of a 50^th wedding anniversary.  Both shoots are to be outdoors so I’m really hoping for some nice weather!
